cold

it's cold tonight
as i sit on my porch
thinking of you
not cold because of the wind
it's cold because of you
shutting me out again
not letting me into your world
it's cold because i can't
touch your face
or see your smile
or express my true feelings for you
it's been cold for a while now
guess i should be used to it
somehow, i don't think i ever will be.
