a dream, of the night.
of waves crashing against the shore
i see you, so close, yet so far away
sitting next to me, on the rocky ledges
of time
i call to you, but you never hear me
i could sing a familiar tune
but the melody is lost
in your tumbling existance
i cling desperately to your side
trying to stop you from plummeting
into the abyss of forgotten love
as you slip from my grasp
i remember the night
and the waves
